Teeth of the Dog on the Dominican Republic is one of my most memorable trips for golf and pleasure. I stayed at the resort for a week with the family and it was fantastic. We enjoyed the facilities and the private golf cart allocated to each room allowed us to drive around the resort and for dinner down the harbour. The driving range is easy accessible when you stay at the resort and I practised almost daily for some hours.

the driving range at Teeth of the Dog

short game area

Teeth of the dog course is next to the driving range and if you also want to play Dye Fore its a short drive away. I played both courses and Teeth of the Dog is by far the best experience as expected. Dye Fore is a different layout set up higher in the hills away from the ocean and I would have preferred to play Teeth twice instead.
I played Teeth on my own with a caddie during the afternoon where the course was quite. The weather was great, but it was more windy than usual according to the caddie. The first hole is a short par 4 which I didnt manage to par, but made bogey.

Eagle putt on 3rd hole

I hit a good drive on 3rd and managed to get 6 iron the green. Eagle putt that I holed and suddenly I was 1 under par.

best par 3 at Teeth of the Dog

Famous 5th par 3

It is special to stand on the 5th tee and looking out on the ocean. The wind was strong on this short but tricky par 3.
5th green

Missed my shot to the right side of the green as you can see on the pictures. Didnt manage to get up and down.
tee on 6th hole

Another great looking tee off on 6th hole. I missed the fairway right and made bogey.
7th hole

Another great par 3 and longer than the 5th hole.
7th green

8th green with the waves crashing in behind the green and large runoff.

9th hole a long par 5 where you stand to move more inland. I made birdie to be out in 1 over par 37, which was very nice.

16th par 3

17th tee

17th green

15th onwards you are back along the ocean on beautiful holes with spectacular views. The course was is really good condition with fast greens.
18th hole back up to the clubhouse

approach to 18th

I hit a good drive, but a poor second shot and resulted in a finishing bogey. Overall a good score of 76 with an eagle and 2 birdies. I played in just over 2 hours and had fantastic time on this great course with memorable views.
